Hi guys -- I texlaxed about 5 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten the hang of caring for my new hair texture. I figured I would ask the texlaxing experts some questions in hopes of gaining some insight:
1. what products are you using? my hair seems to be CONSTANTLY dry! i was tempted to buy some oyin products but i'm not sure if they'll work for texlaxed locks.
2. how often are you washing your hair? i was trying to wash it every day but my hair got really dry and tangled - it felt like straw!! i've cut back to once or twice a week which has helped the straw feeling go away (too bad, i love daily cowashing).
3. how can you find your line of demarcation? i know thats silly but i want to see how much NG i have - i'm trying to wait 3 months or until i get 3 inches of NG before i texlax again.
4. can you use caruso rollers on texlaxed hair?
When I had natural hair, I would seriously just wash my hair with any old thing, do a shake and go and keep moving. I feel like I have to spend more energy on my hair, which I don't mind. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to improve the health of my hair.
