It took me such a long time. My arms are so tired and it did not come out the way I wanted. Anyway, here are the pics. More in my fotki.
I can almost make a ponytail, this is good news for me.

Be honest and tell me what your think. Any suggestions for next time?

It looks nice. How are you doing with your hair? I remember a while ago you were struggling, and considering relaxing.

Congrats on rollersetting and flat-ironing your natural hair. It looks nice. Is the 2nd pic after rollersetting, but before flat-ironing? If so I think your hair looks great with just the rollerset as well.

Oh girl, don't even remind me:nono: I still think about it almost everyday. I really really would like to hold out until next year, but with school starting and having a very demanding job, I am not sure I can hold out. Sometimes I am way to stressed out to even want to do anything about my hair and being natural frustrates the good out of me. I think the only thing that keeps me going, it remembering what my natural hair used to be like when it was longer, before I relaxed it as a teen.
Also, there are days when my hair is my best friend and those are the times when I am inspired to stay natural.

Thanks hopeful. Yeah, the second pic is rollerset before flatironing. At first I was not gonna flatiron, but then I wanted to see if it was possible so I did it.

Looks good. I tried to flat iron my hair friday night. My arms and back started hurting, so I stopped halfway through and washed it out and went to my old trusty twist. I commend anyone that can flat iron their own natural hair.

You did a great job! It's just going to take some practice! You have given me a good idea... I'm going to try this on a weekend when I'm not so busy! Thanks for posting pictures, you are making good progress.

It was definitely a labor of love.

You did a good job...better than me..I can say that for sure. I didn't post my results. Hahahaha

When I flat ironed my hair (early this year with my maxiglide) and showed up to work on monday my co-worker said oh how did the flat iron work out?

I said oh not soo good. My co-worker said oh well at least your hair went back to nappy. I almost fell out when she said that... It took me like 4 hours to do the, washing, detangling, adding protection serum, blow drying, and flat ironing and everything ...

I looked at her and said..girl this is the flat iron results...Hahahahaha we started dying laughing...

I am currently looking for a salon in Los Angeles that flat irons natural hair (with electric ceramic flat iron). I want someone that is going to use the right protective serums etc...because I want my naps to have the best chance of bouncing back. Heat is a risk..but at least lets give my naps a fighting chance.

I completely hear you. I spent so much time on my hair. I liked the softness, but I could not figure out how to style it the next day, so I just washed it:ohwell:
I am addicted to cowashing any way.
