I remember reading something that if your individual strands are thinner than a piece of thread then it is fine. If it is the same diameter....then it is medium. If it's larger in diameter....then it is coarse.

You can tell how soft and silky her hair is in this pic. I'm trying to find a better one.

SO and I were seated next to her table at Justin's Restaurant this summer and it took me awhile to figure out it was Rudy. Her hair looked more 3b/c to me. It looked really soft and had waves from the crown of her head to her ponytail.
you can have alot of hair and the strands are fine. all that means is dsylla has alot of fine strands and that makes the hair looks thick.Okay ya'll I'm confused on this fine hair thing. I know some peoples hair pics looks coarse and thick but it turns out that they have fine hair like (DSYLLA) I always thought her hair was thick and coarse. She has ALOT of hair!
For those of who know Ateya(I love her) from youtube- would you say she has the same hair as Keisha(I love her too)?

ateyaaa always says her hair is coarse, to me it doesnt look that way but then again im watching it on the internet so idk.
There is a difference between having fine strands and having fine hair. To avoid confusion, I prefer to speak of strands as being thick / thin, and hair as being low or high density. DSylla has *very* high density hair, which means she has lots and lots and lots of strands. However, each individual strand is thin/fine. My hair is similar. So people look at my hair (especially when it's natural) and expect it to feel coarse, and then get a shock when they touch it and it's relatively soft.Okay ya'll I'm confused on this fine hair thing. Yeah, me too. I dream of thick, strong strands. If I could accomplish that, my hair would have very little worries. Too bad strand diameter can't be changed.I like thick strands and high density better anyway but that is just me. *shrugs*![]()
