I can't stop touching my hair. I let it airdry with some profectiv break free and my hair felt like silk. I had been meaning to try this since it was recommended on the board but I thought honey would be stick in my hair like syrup but nope. I love it.

Does honey have any other benefits on hair besides making it soft? Like growth or health?

Really I noticed. But I noticed mostly after I put in the break free. Maybe the combination of the two is what did the trick because I use break free all the time and my hair has never felt like this before.

Honey is a natural humectant. It draws and keeps moisture in your strands. Next time, try honey and olive oil in your conditioner. You'll like it.

I'v been adding it into all of my conditioners since the post about it back in May...with good results.

How much honey (and EVOO) do you put in the conditioner?

Can it be used in a conditioner like Suave Milk and Honey that's used as a leave-in and still give good results? TIA

I didnt' really measure honey but I filled a plastic cup maybe halfway up with conditioner and put in maybe 2-3 tablespoons of honey. I put it in my V05 strawberries and creme conditioner. I don't know how it would work as a leave-in. But I would want to rinse honey out of my hair

I am going to try this this weekend...I've been away from the boards for some time now (new job, moving, a lot of change, but I'm all settled now & ready to get back and be active!),and I've been rocking my hair in a ponytail/bun hardcore for almost 2 months. Last weekend I finally "did" something with my hair, and it is just being very resistant!

I now think the people who've said that doing absolutely nothing to your hair will make it grow are right on, because I haven't done anything with my hair in these 2 months, but I have tons of new growth that is trying to be unruly! I am fluff/frizz city! I hope the honey will help tame and give me some intense moisture, 'cuz I need it...thanks Wolftrap!

Yes, that was a great choice for a leave-in.

I completed my weekend experiment, adding honey to my Butter Treat, and I think I'm loving the results! My hair hasn't had that much slip in a while, it was very easy to comb when wet. I hope this isn't a rave that's gonna wear off in time!

Thanks again for the tip! /images/graemlins/clap.gif
