I decided to buy one because I wanted to get the hang of a few styles before performing them on my own hair. For example roller sets, pincurls, bantu knots, etc. I don't like experimenting with my hair and my sister which was my experiment does not like me experimenting with hers anymore either:lachen:. So I was left to resort to a manikin, I really dig her (Alicia is her name). I did a rollerset for her today and I am allowing it to airdry. If it comes out good I will do it on my hair tomorrow. It only cost
$27 and I beleive it's an investment. Does anyone here own one, if so how do you like it?

Did you purchase that mannequin at your local BSS or Sally's? I really ought to get one.

I bought one with human hair and when I got it her hair was a HOT mess!! I don't think a protein treatment and deep condition can fix her. I need to cut off about 3 inches to even get it to be decent. It's bad.

that's how me and my best friend learned to braid. no humans were gonna let us practice on them so we used my kenya doll and our moms manekin heads.

I brought it at the BSS. They had several price ranges and I bought the one that cost the cheapest. She has 100% human hair, it feels so good and soft. The lenght is about APL-BS. The bonus is that her hair is sooooooooo healthy and full, and the cut is fabulous (real long layers that begin at the shoulders). She is my hair inspiration. I would recommend it to anyone here. Ok I'm done campainging.:D

HOW ARE THINGS GOING WITH THE MANNEQUIN? I'M THINKING ABOUT BUYING ONE. ALSO - DO YOU HAVE A CLAMP FOR IT SO THAT IT WON'T MOVE WHILE YOU'RE PRACTICING?

I bought one last year. I love doing her hair.

My man thinks I am crazy for rollersetting her hair and sitting her under the dryer. LOL
