And I'm so proud of myself, but I am breaking severely. I'm gonna do an Aphogee this weekend, and then I'm gonna get extensions for two months and then maybe I'll relax again. I don' t knoe if I wanna go natural or just super-stretch. I have a Maxiglide that I use when I want to straighten my hair... I want length, but I also am torn about relaxing....Ohhh, what should I do?

congrats.

I just can't deal with the breakage and shedding during my attempted stretches. The less hair I see in the sink or in my comb the better!

I wish that I could stretch. I hate the way my hair feels the week after a relaxer - so limp and lifeless. And I know the stretch would be good if I can prevent the breakage and shedding.

Maybe you should try to do your own blowout. They are working for me (so far). But, I am protecting my hair with silicone 1st. If this continues to work, I may be able to stretch for once in my life. We'll see how I feel this time next month. :) (fingers-crossed)

Well, I'd say if you're breaking severly, you may wanna make up your mind in a hurry, esp. if you want to perm again. Also, you may experience extreme breakage once you take the braids out. I think 7 months is a long time to go w/o relaxing if you plan on staying relaxed. HTH.

Hence the reason I'm doing an Aphogee, and that is the reason y I stopped relaxing cuz the conditon of my hair was soooo bad, and I just found the boards and stuff to help me....

 Congrats On Your 5 month Stretch!!! I wish I could've stretched to 6months!! I noticed a little breakage for me at 17 weeks and that's when I decided to relax.I think the relaxer that I was using before didn't work for my hair.I went back to the precise relaxer this go around so hopefully I can do my 6month stretch:D

awsome...good job, when i was relaxed i could never stretch 4 that long..so that is great..if the afogee treatment helps i say go ahead and keep stretching, and the braids weill help alot..

Hey, ElleB, are you going to transition to natural or continue relaxing? Good job on stretching by the way.:notworthy:lol:

Congrats on that super stretch, I know if I did it I would have some major issues. Now, you may be at a critical point where you have to decided what is best for you (whether you want to keep being relaxed or take the big step of going natural). Being relaxed offers easier management and many styles you could work with. Being natural offers you a release from chemicals and a versatility that you could never get with a relaxer. Ultimately that is a decision you have to weigh carefully. Whatever you decide, work the hell out of your hair!

5 months...wow. I must say that was a long stretch. I think someone did 6 months once too....Congrats.
