I NEED TO KNOW: Has anyone colored their hair after growing out a henna?

Has anyone put henna on their hair in the past and then put a permanent or semi permanent color on without having a BAD RESULT? I need to know this because my little silver friends are raining on my parade right at the hairline and I want to use a Herbatint in black on those little suckers. I have tried Clairol New Beginnings or something like that that has no peroxide and no ammonia. Herbatint has propylene glycol and a little Hydrogen peroxide in the mix and is a permanent color....supposed to be really gently. However, I want to hear from someone who has personally or know of someone personally who grew out their hennaed hair and just left it unhennaed for about 4-6 months until most of it wore off and then did a color. Please respond quickly................!!!!Help....Bonjour.

I recently took the plunge after using Henna for 2 to 3 years. I used Bigen twice so far & I've haven't had any problems.

I haven't used a permanent color yet, but I did start using regular rinses after hennaing for a while.
I would recommend trying to color a strand in the back first to see the result. Good luck!
