So I have committed to transitioning and it's been 5 months since my last relaxer. I am having trouble with styling my hair. My hair was about shoulder blade length when I decided to transition and knowing me( I love hair!!)

, I knew I would not do the big chop. But one day, in a fit of madness, I grabbed a pair of scissors and cut my hair to just at the top of my shoulders. I know, I know, what was I thinking??? My ends were looking so dry and then suddenly my trim turned into a cut!! So here's the deal - I can't cornrow and my attempts at twist-outs have failed miserably and I am soooo tired of wearing my hair in a bun. Can someone 1. please tell me it gets better and 2. suggest some styles I might be able to do. I was thinking about braiding but a month ago, I had cornrows done into a bun and left them in for 3 weeks. When I took them out and washed my hair, so much hair came out when detangling that I'm afraid to braid again. Help!!

What about braidouts (not cornrowing)? See Hairlove's pics - she is also transitioning and doing it beautifully and successfully. I think she makes about 3 big braids.
