What kind of round brush are you ladies using to do your blow-outs? Is there a particular brand, bristle, width of brush I should look for? I did a search... but I didnt find much info.

well first you have to go by your hair length. in other words if your hair is on the shorter side you dont' want a huge round brush and vice versa. finding a brush with boar bristle is best.. plastic bristle give split ends. and if you can find one that is vented that is also good for air flow and faster drying. protect your hair and make sure it is mostly air dried. with this you can hit it with the dryer nozzle and with two strokes your hair will be dry. less damage this way.

Thanks; Appreciate you!

I've seen (searchin the net) boar brushes w/wooden handles, double bristles, ionic, tourmanline, ceramic and nylon tipped (so as not to scratch the scalp????). IDK, I guess Im over complicating things... but I hear about the brushes thining hair out and such... figured I'd ask before I made a mistake and all my hair end up on the floor.:perplexed

ETA- Oh man, there are 'soft' and 'hard' bristles.... decisions, decisions, decisions :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:.

The more open bristle type is used for achieving maximum height and lift. The densely packed real bristle round brush is great at smoothing and straightening your hair with the tension needed for hair that naturally has a wave or curl.

Im thinking of either this brush- http://www.ibizahair.com/br_xc.htm in the extended cork series or this brush or one of these http://www.spornette.com/Index.html.

Found vegan brushes too, just encase anyone is interested...

You want a medium to stiff brush... soft will not give you a smooth look. plus you hair will lay on top of the soft bristles.
