I Need a NEW Blow Dryer. HELP!

I posted this on my blog earlier this week, but I need some more responses. I haven't bought a blow dryer in about 7 yrs and I have no idea what to look for.:ohwell:

Well, my freaking blowdryer is no more. It's dead. Yes, dead. After blowdrying my hair last week, I unplugged the bd like I always do. After doing that, I noticed that the bd plug area on one side was basically melted.

Wow.....I sat there just staring at it because I thought my bd would NEVER die on me. And I definitely wasn't going to try and plug it in again....

The postives about this experience are:

1. I got my money's worth out of it. It was a Conair that cost about $15 and I've had it for about 7 years.

2. I get to buy a new one!!! or put it on my Christmas list...hmmmmmm

I really need help because I want to buy a good blow dryer, but not one that's overly expensive. What kinds of bd's do you ladies have that are excellent???? Spill please....:yep:

TIA ladies!

Pricey to some, but so worth it!

I also have this one: http://infiniti.conair.com/catalog.php?pcID=47&products_id=150

^^Both are great because they come with comb attachments:yep:

I honestly reach for my Chi more though.
thanks for sharing! I plan on purchasing my first flat iron and blow dryer next month or Jan.
I saw this blow dryer on the Sally's website:

IIRC, this is the one that shtow owns/loves.

Thanks MoreHairPlease! I'm gonna research that one too....even though I don't want to spend that much.lol

Been trying to find a real nice conair one i bought from a walmart. Its red called Ion Shine. Has two power setting and 3 heat settings, cold, hot and warm. And it also has a Cold Shot button and a Turbo button too ... So you could really adjust the settings! I'm sorry I can't find i been looking all over the internet for it, i bought it in September in for $20.

OP, I have gone thru more hairdryers than I care to remember... and the one that made the difference in the condition of my hair is the....

SOLIA IONIC HAIRDRYER

This dryer dries faster, leaves my hair feeling moisturized and soft. Its like $70 at Folica.com.... and totally worth it.

The nozzle is thin, which means you can get your hair sleeker with less frizz.

OP, Stay away from those $15 hairdryers. They FRY your hair... and the heat emission is unreliable. Plus the nozzles are ridiculous on those.

Thanks Heavenly. My Conair didn't fry my hair:yep:. I really liked it and it always made my hair soft.

I just recently purchased the Conair Infiniti Cord Keeper Dryer
It's tourmaline ionic ceramic, I like it alot.
It's 35 dollars but I got it at ulta and I had one of their weekly coupons so I only paid like 25 or 30 dollars.
