I haven't tried it yet but I hear good things about hairveda's almond glaze. I think it's only $5.99.

ETA I was trying to find a link for you but can't since there gearing up for the black Friday sale

Here are my favorites:

Softee Indian Hemp just $1.00 @ any Walgreens drugstore in Los Angeles
Africa's Best Super Gro $1.94 @ Walmart in Los Angeles

Cantu shea butter mixture but not alot because it leaves lil bits on the hair  So I mix it up with a lil water and a oil blend.

I made my own with shea butter, aloe vera gel, vitamin e oil, and jojoba oil whipped in a food processor. good stuff! I ordered a pound of shea butter and got 3 and a half 8 oz containers after I mixed everything.

Mix shea butter and aloe gel together using my magic bullet. If I need it to last because of high humidity I use curl wax but it is full of petroleum so that is something I only use occasionally.

Soft, nonsticky hold that also give a nice smooth shine to twists/braids, twist/braid outs, can be used to blow out and heat style as well as rollersets (which I don't bother with anymore). I've tried the clear one early on in my HHJ but these two remain tried and true staples.

Can be used with a cheap conditioner like vo5 moisture milks and oils - I use EVOO. They have never dried or crispied my hair out.
