I MAY AS WELL COME OUT OF THE CLOSET

About 3 weeks ago, I walked into my bathroom with a pair of scissors and cut off my ponytail
Ok, lets back track a bit....
After I dropped out of bootcamp, I had decent progress, but my ends were crappy and my hair looked weird, so I was depressed about it, and did a mini chop.
That didn't really help because I started shedding and breaking everywhere for whatever reason, and I got ever more depressed so I hacked it down to a chin length bob.
Once I realized that I was retrogressing, I decided to seize the opportunity to do what I've ALWAYS wanted to do.....Explore my natural hair!
Ok, I still have relaxed ends cause I'm timid about doing the BC because I only have about 1/2" new growth, but I am going to transition for a few months with this short style then I'm crossing over...
Just an F.Y.I ladies, I'll be stalking a lot of natural albums for tips and product reviews so look out

OH by the way, I have pics, but can't remember how to post them :ohwell:

I am awaiting to go NATURAL also but my pride want let me .
I feel its more work and how much hair i will lose knowing i gains so much being relaxed.

Welcome to the party! I decided to transition not to long ago myself ( see siggy) and i too am at chin length from deciding to start over a few months ago.Because my hair is already short im not plannin on transitioning too long ether . maybe a year ...or about 4 inches unstretched...which ever comes first.

Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I am actually very excited about this. I have been relaxed for as long as I can remember. I can't wait to BC. I'm pretty sure I'm a 4a, but we'll see cause ya neva know

Congrats! Welcome to the wonderful world of natural hair. You're going to have a great time exploring all the things your hair can do.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. You have lots of support here to help you through your transition.

I am sure many of us are available to help. Remember it is a journey and as with any journey it is full of twists, turns, smooth roads, bumby roads, road blocks, hills and valleys, but as with the end of any journey it will be worth the trip.

Thanks for all the support ladies. In the past I didn't think I could it, but with all the examples from you guys, and the fotki how-to's, I know that it is possible.

Congrats on your decision. I know just where you were coming from with the "chop"....I just did that too. I also plan on transitioning, but after I reach my ultimate hair goal, which is MBL....but ya never know!:)
