So, despite the cost, *sigh*

I made an appt for my consultation at Curve next Saturday. I am kinda nervous because I'm contemplating doing the big chop too after transitioning for the last 7 months. The two textures have been driving me crazy and all I do with my hair is put it in a bun. Wish me luck and I'll post an update after the appt to let you guys know how it went!!

Army QT: I'm really just going for a consultation.....I am considering having them do my BC if they think that will suit my face. I've never really had short hair so I'm not sure it will look good on me. I have cheeks people like to pinch and squeeze (I wish they wouldn't!!) so not sure that a BC will be my best option. I'm also considering doing the silkener so I'm going to learn about the process and what the maintenance will be on my end.

Dahomey & Jainy: I can't bring anyone with me. They make sure to tell you this when you make the appt. because they have a small waiting area and don't want lots of people hanging around if they aren't getting their hair done. I will take my digi cam though, and ask them to take a picture IF I get anything done.

I would love to go to this salon, but alas it is too far away...lol. Make sure you post your results!!!!!!!

I would like to know what happened on your appt. Where is this place located? What does BC stand for? Does the appointment for the consultation cost anything? Would this be like Silkener but at a different location?

"BC" means Big Chop. If I remember correctly, consultations are $50 and the Silkener is $150 and up.... I was going to take my daughter, but thought the price was a bit steep.... This shop is in Brooklyn, NY. I don't know about it being done other places....

I received my "Curly" t-shirts in the mail a few weeks ago along with a sample [huge sample] of the curly pudding, which is great. Next time I'm in Brooklyn, I'm thinking about making an appointment. Not sure, though. Don't think I want some texturizer, but I love the curly pudding product. It does keep my natural curls locked in place and helps with some of the tremendous shrinkage that I have...
