I crochetted a bun cover last night but it is too big. So tonight I am going to try again and figure out how to make the pattern smaller for my tiny bun. How does it look!!!

The picture's kind of dark. Can you possibly lighten it? I'm sure the bun cover looks fabulous.

Thanks!

It looks nice. I think you can make the bun cover smaller by buying some of them ouchless ponytail holders and chrochet around it. The bun covers that I bought from ebay, looks like the lady took some ponytail bands and chrochetted (sp?) around the bands. I hope I'm making sense...but yep, that's how the lady did it.HTH

Instead of a ponytail holder I used a ribbon. You can't see it because it is back also. I like the ribbon instead of the ponytail holder because you can draw it tighter. I am going to try to make it smaller by reducing the rolls and the snitches. It only took me an hour to make it was so easy to do. Once I get the size correct I will make them in different colors as well as headbands.

That's a great idea, even if a person wanted to cover a baggy instead of a bun. But save the big one cause you'll be using it sooner then you know it.

Good point!:yep:

I think it looks cute! I wish I could knit or crochet. Maybe I can talk my mom into breaking out her old crochet hooks so she can make me some bun covers....:look:

That's a good idea. I use to chrochet when I was a teenager, maybe I still have it in me:perplexed I can't wait to see your headbands..do I smell a buziness coming on?;)

;) I think it looks pretty good from what I can see. If ya have any "irregular" buns  could ya just think about a sista who needs to cover up her knee stocking!

A business? Maybe down the line. Right now I just need to cover my baggie and sock :D

When I go home I will make a white one and a black one so that it can show up better.

I really hope that it will work

I also make bun covers, I've sold a few to some of the ladies on the board. If you'd like some patterns, I have a couple that I can share with you. I love to crochet, its a stress reliever for me!!!
