I've been doing this for years, I learned it from my old stylist. I didnt know it had a specific name, we just call them roller wraps. I do it backwards tho because once I section my hair if I try to wrap it then it snags and messes up the rolled part. I just section the hair I want to roll and clip it, then wrap my hair and secure with a scarf or if its wet, neck strips, and then add the rollers. I've used 1-7 depending on how I had it parted, but of course I dont have the length you ladies have to use those huge rollers.

I don't know how to wrap my hair as I am all thumbs. What I do is pull all of my hair up into 1 large curl on the top of my head and them wrap a scarf around my head leaving the curl at the top of my head out. When I comb my hair down the next day, because it was up all night, my hair has bounce and swing to it.

That sound like a good idea fletgee...Im gonna try it the next time my hair is straight.
