I have pictures!

Your hair is so beautiful, thick and shiny. You will be at bra strap in no time. This way of wrapping is pretty cool, I'm going to try it tonight. Thanks for the detailed instructions. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Your hair is gorgeous. I particularly love the colour and how healthy and thick it is /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for sharing the wrapping technique too.

Hi KKing /images/graemlins/wave.gif

You have very pretty hair /images/graemlins/smile.gif It's nice and shiny. I appreciate the fact that you illustrated how to wrap hair because I just starting to cut down on curling irons and wrapping and rollersets will now be the staple of my haircare regimen. Your steps are easy to follow so I thank you again for including these steps in your picturetrail.

nice demonstration! Question: after you finished wrapping your hair w/ the pins and covered it with the doo-rag..did you remove the pins after? are you still transitioning?

kking, your hair looks great! it's really healthy! i love seeing that!! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks for the wrapping lesson, but i don't get step 4. hmm... maybe that's why mine sometimes turn out jacked up... /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thank you all, for the nice responses so far. I wanted to add that before I wrap my hair, I air dry it or sit under a dryer (I hate blowdryers) and then curl my hair under, section by section with my Gold n Hots. Followed by 3 to 5 days of wrapping my hair.

No, I am not transitioning anymore, I fell to temptation and put in a Motions oil lye relaxer. I feel a little guilty but it smoothed out my wave pattern so nicely, I am over it! lol

Thanks for posting the How-To pictures, KKing. I tried to wrap my hair this way after you posted the step-by-step directions and I didn't get it quite right. Now I know what to do /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Your hair is very pretty and healthy. You'll make bra strap length in no time.

Hi Kking, /images/graemlins/wave.gif

Kking,
Your hair looks great! And thanks for the dry wrapping instructions. Although I don't wrap my hair this will come in handy if I decide too.

Beautiful hair! Thanks for posting the pics of how you wrap(I'll call that The King's Wrap /images/graemlins/wink.gif I was wondering how you did that. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

KKing, What gorgeous hair you have! What an awesome idea to help out the Wrap-Challenged (I am one of them).

Thank you,
AZ

Your hair looks awesome. I'm still a little confused about the King's Wrap but I guess I'll just have to practice to get it right? Just when I almost had the other wrap down..... /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Your hair looks so shiney and full. Thanks for the wrap tips. I'm off to practice.... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

KKing your mane is gorgeous lady!!! /images/graemlins/smile.gif How long did you transition before you put in a relaxer?

Thanks for the step by step wrap illustration.

Kking your hair looks really beautiful. Thanks for the wrapping tips! From the looks of things, you'll reach your goal in no time flat!!

kking-
I have to try your wrapping technique. I always just make a small part on the left side of my hair and then just take a paddle brush and wrap my hair to the right in the same direction.

Your hair is so purrty /images/graemlins/smile.gif Your directions and pics were cool, but i don't think I'll be able to get it.....so for now I'll just have to continue to wrap my hair the regular way /images/graemlins/tongue.gif BTW, what products do you use? Forgive me if that question has been asked already.

Yes ladies I put my own highlights in with a Revlon kit from Target... I hate salons!!!! they are rip offs and they never do a good job with my hair.

To answer your question I transitioned for 6 months before I put in a relaxer. I had about 3 in a half inches of new growth at the time of relaxing.

How did you maintain the two textures at that time.? What type of styles did you wear? TIA

Thank you Armyqt! I do regret relaxing my hair again because the only difference from my hair now and then is the new growth. The wave pattern now is much more loose compared to my transitioning days. Other than that, I got the same straight look without a blowdryer. As for the highlights, you can't tell but I had MAJOR breakage in the back of my hair 2 months ago. I had to cut an inch of my hair off in the middle and apply a Aphogee treatment PLUS wear my hair up for like a month straight. Thank goodness it is back to normal now. If I had to do it over I would only highlight the front of my hair instead of the back, the back of my hair is much more delicate and means more to me length wise. lol

Nice & thick.Keep up the good work. Happy Hair Growing! /images/graemlins/cool.gif
