COCONUT OIL!!!!!!!!
( not the one i used)

why didnt anyone tell me!!, i got a perm in August and i hadnt washed my hair in WEEKS!!! i know dont stone me!! so i finally washed my hair this weekend. i prepooed with coconut oil and a small bit of jojoba... i SOAKED my hiar with it, put on a showercap and sat around for about three hours. washed my hair with creme of nature sahmpoo and conditioned with Garnier Fructis.

When my hair was still wet i used a bit of GF Conditioner and a small amount of Curls Up reactivator and defrizzant( first time using this), i also sprayed with a bit more coconut oil and jojoba. i plaited my hair in four, tyed my hiar down and went to sleep..........

Laides can i tell you, my hair was dried softer than i have ever felt it before, no frizz. it MOVED when i shook my head. i did this braid out saturday night it is now wensday and my hair still looks good.

Is this a fluke??
Do i have to drench my hair with Coconut Oil every time i want to get this look and feel?
Did my hair come out this smooth and nice because i have a fresh relaxer with only a small amount of newgrowth??
TOOOOOOOOOOOO many questions not enough answers...............

it just said all natural poor Coconut Oil, i bought it from the Grocery Store. So if i get real Coconut Oil like Extra Virgin Coconut Oil for Whoel Foods, my hair will feel amazing. lol.

Off to buy some more when I'm off work :P
I have some but you have reminded me how much I love it

great for skin too

My hair loves coconut oil too!! More than any other oil although EVOO is a close 2nd favorite.

After I relaxed last weekend, I pulled out the EVCO to apply to my freshly relaxed hair, and since Coconut Oil is one of the Penetrating Oils, My Hair Responded extremely well to it.

I have used it all week and it absorbs very nice into my hair and my hair feels great. So Great, it made me go into my Oil Stash and also pull out my Grapeseed and Avacado Oils (lighter oils).

Avacado is another oil that penetrates the Hair Shaft.

I had a ton of different oils and didn't know "quite" what to do with them to use them up and another Poster recommended HOTS (Hot Oil Treatments).

This will be a newly added step in my Winter Hair Care Regimen to incorporate HOTS.

And I just know a HOT with EVCO will Feel Awesome.:lick:

see now you have me drooling over coconut oil but I keep remembering back in the day when my mother would put it on my hair and bees would follow me around the playground like crazy! :lachen:

Cool! I use coconut oil (very dry/relaxed (mostly) 4a) and I  it. As far as whether it will continue to work in the future, all you can do is try and see. ;)

@CydChicag: I hvae heard it will freeze on your hair, but is this true?...and freeze how?

If i put a little Coconut Oil in my Conditioner will it work as well as me prepooing with it, because i am not sure if its b/c i prepooed with it or if i just added it to my hair in any stage of the washing process. lol. any ideas ladies??
