Has anyone used this protective line in its entirity? The reason I ask is because I have been prescribed this to help with the hair lose that has resulted in thinner around the edges of my hair and less hair throughout. I am told to use it daily for thirty days. Has anyone had any luck with this stuff. It cost me a ton of money and I want to be sure it is not a waste. What has been some of you alls results. I wonder if this will lessen my hair growth or increase it. The dermatologist wanted to try this before he went to more drastic measures to try and save my hair. He feels it is from the recent surgery and childbirth as well as my life style of going to school at night and doing home work til the wee hours of the morning. I usually get only around 4 hours of sleep before all the kids wake up. Please give me your feed back I am still taking my vits which he said are great. I take GNC Biotin and GNC Women's Ultra Mega.

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I have been prescribed also - hair loss from an over active thyroid. I have used it once, and I was very impressed!
I just need to add a moisturizer, because my hair was very dry to begin with - but if it is only going to get better, then I have high hopes. I brought the starter kit - I paid $25.00 for it, and I was reccommended a vitamin - so for now I see where that takes me.

Let me know if you do use, and what were your results - I will be more than happy to share notes, and swap recommendations. Stick with it, I am positive you will see a difference!

I tried it along time ago (over 5yrs). I did not stick with it because it dried my hair out which caused more breakage. I hope it works for you.

I did get it in the full sizes. As of yesterday I am using the Niozin Follicle Booster, Bionutrient Protectives treatment, Scalp Therapy, and the cleanser. I will use it daily as recommended but I am so scared my hair will dry out. They say it won't so I will be positive about it for now. Do you wash daily with all of the products in the starter kit. I paid $91.26 total with tax for all of the products. They say it should last roughly 30 days. That is not bad. I used to spend more than that on hair care products. Will you be my hair buddy? We can help each other with this.

<font color="brown"> I have used the Nioxin products (about 2 years ago). They are EXTREMELY drying. I couldn't stick with it due the the dryness. It turns out that I did not need it anyway.

I just recently stopped using it. I had the same effects that HotChocolate had. It was making my hair extremely brittle and dry. It's suppose to balance the Ph in your hair and scalp, but I didn't get that effect.

I know nothing about this:

But I am sending you good vibes and positive thoughts. You will have positive results and be satisfied with your hair.

Hugs,
Henrilou

when you look for the products make sure you get the ones recommended for dry or chemically treated hair! the other ones are VERY drying.....also i LOVE there hair vitamins! i swear by these:)

Of course I will be a buddy - that is my oath on this site!!! I have just used it once - and I got the ones for chemically treated hair - you think maybe trying it once, see how you feel, then maybe every other week(?) I was reccommended a vitamin also called Shen Min - hair nutrient. A hair specialist gave me the name of an Indian nutritionist named Raj - and he reccommended them - and I am on rheumathoid arthrtis medicine - and he said it would not interfere - so you and I are in the same boat

But lets be positive - and no stressing or obsessing okay - that will not help - lets become informed - and swap ideas!

Hello,

I don't do know anything about this, however I am wishing those of you dealing with it the best!

India, I PM'd you!

i really like the Nioxin Protectives products that I have. I do not use them every day and I felt that they left my hair somewhat soft, but i also use it with moisturizing ..for example the other day I soaked my hair in coconut oil before washing to help protect it....you can also just wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo after ...remember Nioxin is for the health of your scalp so be careful and try to keep the cleanser, scalp therapy and bionutrient on your scalp and keep your hair moisturized. I didnt feel the vitamins helped me.

i used nioxin consistently for about eight months. when they first started advertising, it said that it was for folks with thin hair. Mine is thin-med depending, so i thought it would work for me and found a salon near my home that sold it cheaper than everyone else. that was 4-5 years ago. i didn't stop using it for any particular reason though. i purchased the products for chemically treated hair and i use the nx3 to this day. keep us posted on your results and i pray that they are completely positive.
