tonight my mom wanted to use my leave in conditioner, and she said that when after u shampoo your hair then u use a leave in conditioner without using a regular conditioner after u shampoo is this true? if it is i never knew this because i always thought it was shampoo -conditioner -leave in conditioner. thanks to whoever responds!!!

I think it depends on your hair and what you are trying to do. I absolutely need a leave-in everytime. If you use a good moisturizing shampoo or co-wash, and the leave-in works really well as far as detangling and moisturizing then I think you may be okay. I prefer to cleanse, condition, and then leave-in because it gives me more moisture and manageability. But I also have skipped the conditioner sometimes when I needed to wash my hair when I was in a hurry.

That's my 2 cents & I'm not the last word. Ladies...

I always use a good moisturizing conditioner after shampooing (for deep conditioning), rinse it out and use a leave-in afterwards.

Same here. Always.

The only time I shampoo and don't condition is when I use a really moisturizing and detangling 'poo like Breakthru.
