I have a problem

Hi everyone, I'm new to LHCF, have been lurking around the board for soemtime and coudln't find why I was unable to post until I stumbled across it tonight ;)... anyhow, I have a prob and was unable to find any information throughout the different post online. I remember as a child growing up a lizzard ran down the wall and into the middle of my head, i grabbed my hair so hard in an attempt to get the lizzard out, that i must have taken out every strand of hair out the middle of my head.. talk about a throbbing head for the whole day.. Now moving forward, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the middle of my hair not growing, I've tried countless of products and at times it does grow back but then quickly falls out, I'm not bald in the middle, but the hair takes forever to grow.

I'm trying to get some recommendations and see what could help my situation. Overall I don't even think my hair is growing the norm half inch per month, I prob get half inch every 4 months or so. I recently chopped off all the perm and started over fresh with wave noveau, hoping that by me doing something different it would grow, but still no luck! So please give me your advice on what steps I can take to ensure that I have long healthy hair.

Thanks in advance.

Mel.

Well it is possible your scalp suffered long-lasting trauma from your childhood event. I would go see a dermatologist; he or she may be able to prescribe something stronger than what you have been using, and there are a number of hair loss therapies he or she may be able to recommend.

Welcome!

I definitely would stop with all permanent chemicals because they could be affecting your scalp negatively.

You may want to research emu oil. From what I've read it's supposed to "reawaken" the follicles and help with hair growth. It can be expensive though.
