well i personaly don't put nothing on my braids but you should try the ors sheen spray on yoyr braid or regular braids spray make sure you rinse because all the build up so good luck with your braids hope you post pics
The key to having braids is to keep it moisturized, moisturized, moisturized!! You will see a lot of new growth. What I have been doing is spraying my hair atleast twice a day, maybe a third if it feels really dry. Also wash it once a week. To add sheen to it I now use a hair oil, just a little, over the braids. For me, to much of that oil sheen spray in the can made my braids start to smell.
I use Surge on my scalp mixed with oil carrot or some other kind of oil and scurl on the braids. Great growth results! I condition wash every three days too. I don't forget my edges in the front either (carrot oil surge)
My last braids were waistlenght, but it was too heavy and way too bulky to sleep on. My next ones are going to be short too. I'm sure yours look too cute!!!
Hey Nessa, I currently have braids and I use s-curl on my braids twice a day to keep "my" hair moisturized. I use the african royal braid spray once a week on my sclap, I shampoo my hair once a week and rinse my hair every two days. After shampooing I use a leave-in conditioner. Make sure you keep your braids moisturized. I'm at one month and I have a significant amount of newgrowth.
Oh Nessa good for you girl, look out for lots of growth. I have box braids and I moisturize them and especially my new growth with S-curl. I do believe I got an inch of new growth in a month. I wanted to keep em in for 2 months like I did last year but that's impossible. In a little over 5 weeks I have more than an inch in sompe places. I am positive it's because I keep em saturated in the S-curl. It's the only thing I'm doing different this year.
I use IC's Braid Sheen Spray - it keeps your hair moisturized and it helped mine grow a bunch. I usually spray it on in the mornings and at night and I also wash once a week followed by a leave in. I just took mine out last weekend and can not wait until tomorrow to put some more in!
