I finally have my Pibbs set up and ready to go. What should I use it for? Aside from rollersets? What do you all use your Pibbs for?

I sometimes use my dryer to set my stretched styles (braid-out or banded) for bunning. I set it for the coolest setting I can stand about 30.

DC, hot oil treatments, hard core protein treatments, flexirod sets, rod sets, braid outs, two strand twist, etc.

I just came in here to say I'm so jealous!!! I have a regular hood dryer, but I use mine to rollerset, set my braidouts if I don't want to walk around with wet hair, and to deep condition. You can also do the towel method to steam.

I was just looking at one of these on amazon. One of the reviewers said it's great for rollersets but not so great for dcing because the motion of the air takes off her plastic cap. What do you ladies do to prevent that from happening when you DC?

Just tie it down with a scarf, it'll still work for dc one's hair.

rollersetting, just the best!
I DC with or without heat (just body heat) but I rollerset at least twice a week so I wanted a Pibbs.

Still wish I had one after all these years but no vendors are happy to ship to the UK

Besides roller sets, I use my Pibbs 514 for deep conditioning and drying my twist outs and buns (when I don't want to air dry).

or the nets...that's what I use at home because that's what they used in the Dominican salons. You can buy a big triangular net at Sally's like this:

Amazon.com: Diane Cotton Triangle Net - Black (1-pack): Beauty

or this:

Amazon.com: Old Fashion Cotton Triangle Net / Brown: Beauty

Actually, you really should buy one for your Pibbs to use for rollersets as well.

I don't have a Pibbs, but my.SalonsRus dryer will take my cap off too, what I do is gather the front of the plastic cap and.pull it forward and twist until it's really tight, then I tucked it under. This also locks in more heat like when using Saran wrap.
