This is something I've always wanted to do, so 2 days ago I couldn't take it any longer and so YOLO.
but i guess i also do have more practical reasons, like the extensive damage that my hair suffered. all kinds of hair sins and no TLC and I just couldn't take the lifeless mess on my head anymore.
my momma's gonna kill me y'all.
so is my daddy.
I really like it.

I love it! You look nice Not everyone can do a baldie/ fade/twa and look girlie or even cute. You also have a cute shaped head. Yes, Mom & Dad will be pissed but hair grows back. It will grow back quickly and be healthy which will make it more beautiful.

my daddy, trying to "reason" with me: "i've seen some women do it and it never grew back in their whole lifetimes."
me: "did they have a terminal illness or something? cause that's actually just impossible."
and then i reminded him that he gets linings every two weeks....evidence that hair does indeed grow

Truth be told, when I first saw your after picture I thought "all that full, bushy hair...gone!" But then I saw how beautiful you looked, both inside and out, and I thought, "Werk it girl!" You are one of the lucky ones who can rock such a striking (and low maintenance!) cut and still be feminine and beautiful, so props to you! I wish I could, but I have been called "Sir" one too many times while sporting a 'fro much bigger than that to ever try a TWA again, especially at my age.
