I used to use this conditioner religously a few years ago and I forgot all about it. I recently found it again in my local BS and since I'm supposed to be joining this DAMN PJ challenge
laugh.gif
I'm picking up a few little things to tide me over for the month of May.
smile.gif

The conditioner is by Alfa Parf and it's called Real Cream PH 4. It's a pretty moisturizing, but good on strengthening (kind of what I imagine GPB users like so much about GPB) with relatively good slip and above all - it's a conditioner that really corrects damage in the hair. And as you can tell by the name it's got a REALLY low PH for aconditioner so it'ss great at acidifiying and keeping the cuticle nice and closed. Not just surface stuff like what we use Pantene and Suave for. It really improves the texture and condition of the hair with regular use and I forgot how much I loved it.

I used to use it long ago and I had ruined my hair somehow or another (I do that alot...y'all know how I do) and I used this for about 4 or 5 months straight and my hair bounced RIGHT back.

I'm going be working it into my BC regimen. I'll use it as a moisturizing conditioner because I need a little more protein action going on for that aspect of my regime...esp right now.... (I dyed it again to even it up a bit.... SHHH! SAY NOTHING!) but this will be a great moisturizing conditioner that really improvess the texture of my hair and makes it happy and healthy without making it too soft.

This is a good conditioner...a 9 out of 10.

I fuggot all about it!

I saw a large sized tub of the Real Cream at a BSS a couple of weeks ago... it was behind the counter, so I had to ask the guy how much it cost... he said it was $32.99!!
shocked.gif
I have a feeling he didn't know what he was talking about, cuz it's only $20.99 at metrobeauty.com... The prices at this BSS are usually the same or just a little more than metro's prices... The next time I go in there, I'm gonna have him check the price again!!
wink.gif

Im sooo glad that dominican products aren't easily accessible in this area..
laugh.gif
I don't know what I would do

Did I read this right, " I dyed it again to even it up a bit"

We like living on the edge, eh

Do you think Real Cream is light enough to be used as a leave-in? I have been using more heat lately (and with thoughts of coloring
grin.gif
) I am concerned about damage-control...

It sounds like a great product- glad you "rediscovered" it!

Deb - it's got a little more umph than the Nexxus Ensure...a few cones and some light protein thrown in - so it's a little more bang for your she-bang...
laugh.gif

SG - I say it's better than the Dudley's - maybe not better at strengthening than than the Rebuilder - but def more strengthening and moisturizing then the Cream Protein.

Oshun - Light enough to be used as a leave in...maybe...but I've never used it that way.
wink.gif

Lindy- I bought a tube of it (it comes in two sizes) for a bout 12 bucks. On the try tip that may be a better option.
wink.gif

Denali - :Sigh: and yes - we're living on the edge.
wallbash.gif

But on the upside - I like the color MUCH better now...though it's a little light at the roots. but not ridiculously so....I can leave it for a while now. At least until it's fairly "time" to color again when I actually have some new growth. I used the Bigen Expressives - so as soon as I see if I hang on to my hair I'll do a review. I used the honey blond.
grin.gif

No - that's a heavy duty creamy protein - almost like Bone Marrow. No me gusta.

If you can't find it I'll send you some along with that Neutrogena Mask.

So far so good....you know how you can TELL when colors done a NUMBER on your hair...nothing yet...

::where's the fingers crossing emoticon:::

I rollerset and there's a few tired looking pieces, but nothing major, no shedding or breaking and my ends look good...

Let's hope...
If it's a disaster you all will be the FIRST to know when I come up in here crying because I had to (FINALLY!) shave my head.

Yah, but I don't think they had the small tube... I only saw the tub, but I'm going to ask them the next time I go there.

Shucks!! I just got a free box of that Xpressives in True Crystal Blonde...wish I woulda known you were interested in trying it, we could have traded, cuz I can't use it (it doesn't lighten enough for my dark roots)!!
ohwell.gif

Traaaccyyyy!! I just bought a big *** jar of that stuff when I went to the IBS show on tuesday. It was 12.00 and I couldn't resist. I have yet to try it out. I raked up on Alfa Parf items but was a little miffed at them because they didn't accept Amex - that must have been the Lord's way of curbing my habit

Nope girl me too...

OT - Want to hear another thing that happens to all of us? I discovered this talking to some AA classmates at school...

sekret.gif

A lot of ambitious AA's have theme music that plays in our heads...you walk into the school/new job/conference and that music starts playing in your head - like Cleopatra Jones, or Wonder Woman...or Change Clothes and Go..or Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now.

It's all many od us can do not to strike a pose....and allow the crowd to survey us in the mountain we are about to climb and be FIERCE doing it...
laugh.gif

It happens to us ALL....
laugh.gif

look.gif
Ok - well alot of us....

Little cognitive psycholofy for the day.....
laugh.gif

Thanks for the Alfa Parf suggestion..I did see this product in the BSS recently..I'll be sure to check it out...And I still haven't picked up the Dove condr...I'll be sure to do both..I am really looking for some alternate moisturizing condrs so this is right on time.

I thought of yall the entire time I was there. It was a PJ candy store! I bought my suitcase with me and stuffed it till the zipper was going to burst!

I got 6 jars of the salerm wheat germ (they were selling for $6), 2 boxes of salerm glass module leave ins (normally the box is 60/ I paid 12) and the leave in (21) were selling for 3.75.

So..please someone point me to the PJ rebuke challenge and sign me up
