I know that I needed these and I have heard that others were looking, too.

Anyway, I went to a local BSS today with my mom and we were so happy to find these. (At the new BSS in Owen Brown to anyone that is from or ever gets to Columbia)

They are by Annie. I love these so far.

They are firm rollers and the Satin is on there tight so there is no slipping. I love the large size.

I did a search on line and one place that sells them. I have never ordered from this place, but they so have lots of stuff: http://www.extremebeautysupply.com.

Anyway, just thought I would let you guys know.

WOW Thank you so much I've looked everywhere for the bigger ones.

I had been looking for them too! You should have seen my mom and me in that BSS when we saw them. We were grabbing up packs like we were crazy.

I actually like the Satin on these better than the Scunci ones. The Satin seems for durable. It is not as soft, but it looks as if they may last longer.

What styles are you guys using these rollers for? I'm looking for something to place at the ends of my braidouts, wondering if these would be good. TIA

they should work...although you'd probably want to get a smaller size.

I plan to use them as rollers...if my hair is already straight (i'm texlaxed), and I want some more curls real fast...then I can just add some moisturizer to my ends and roll em up. Then take down once the moisturizer dries...and voila...curls.

I have never heard of doing rollersets with foam or satin covered foam rollers.

I have used the Satin covered Foam ones that I got from Scunci to maintain curly styles or to bump my ends. Most times I put them in in the evening and after a few hours before I go to bed remove them so I won't have any dents or curls that are too tight.

The problem with those is that they are too small. I even bought some Large foam rollers and tried to cover them myself. :ohwell:

Anyway, I really do love Satin covered foam rollers and these Large ones are great.

And btw, Maryland ladies, that BSS in Columbia's Owen Brown Village Center DOES have the Extra Large ones too!!! Picked 2 packs up today.

I mean, wet sets. I have never thought of usign foam rollers on my wet hair.

I just use them on my dry straight hair.

Thanks for posting. I have some hype hair foam satin rollers and they are just to small. I look for these in the BSS, if I can't find them I will order them. THanks for the heads up girl!!!

I just saw these about 30 minutes ago and I thought about getting them! I ended up getting the Pillow Satin ones instead.

If you happen to be in the Detroit area, they have them at my favorite Beauty Supply Supermarket, Southfield Lee Beauty Supply (Southfield Rd).

Thanks for the info on the extra large rollers. The ones by Goody and Hype Hair are not alway available in Walmart.

I've been using those from walmart for the past few months and I do them on only wet hair. I'm now 18 weeks post and these have become a staple for me. I just took them out from an overnight wet set.
However my sister and a friend of mine have tried them on wet sets and they said the results were not good so i guess they work different for everyone.
I love love love love them and they have helped me stretched this far(along with my cowashes of course) and my hair seems to love them. My hair has grown some so I know when I relax in a few weeks I'm going to need to bigger ones.
Good luck with using them you guys

CVS has the Scunci ones. I LOVE those. I have about 4 packs. They are just too small sometimes!!!

Last night I was as my moms doing her hair and she commented on how much fun she has been having with the extra large ones that we bought. The curls were just the right size.

I just got mine today. I ordered the jumbo. I live in okinawa and it took almost ten days, not bad at all. Thanks Honey Dew.

That's cool. Have you had a chance to use them?

I am going to try them out this weekend. I shall let you know. I plan to use them to maintain the curl in my hair. The packages says, " can be used on wet hair". I do not know about that though!

To the ladies that have used these, do the rollers leave lines/dents in your hair when you take them out?

Same here! I cannot see using them on wet hair. I just use them to maintain curl, as well.

Now you know you wrong for posting this. :look:

exactly.

I just spent $40 on mesh rollers (which gave me a headache and no sleep when I left them in overnight) and then $22 on a Conair Steam setter.

But now that I think about it, I can do a rollerset with the mesh rollers on Sundays and then switch them out before going to bed. Then when I need a curl touch-up during the week, I can use the Conair Steam rollers before bed, take those out and put in the satin rollers. Moisture and style all in 1. A PJ will always find a way!

All those foam rollers, satin or not, leave on dent on my hair.

I only leave them in long enough to curl and then remove them. That way I avoid the dent.

I have the large ones by Hype Hair. You can check them out in my fotki for Feb 06 and June/July 06
