Hello Ladies..

Ive lurked on here for a while looking for answers to save my hair. i had my first relaxer when i was about 7 years old. i loved it! my hair was soft, lonngggg, and lusturious. well as i hit my teen years i start experiencing with dyes and other things that were a no no for my hair. In the last few years i have mistreated my hair terribly. last year i wanted to go rihanna red and fried my hair to death. i mean i would touch it and it would just fall right off. earlier this year i didnt learn my lesson and dyed my hair back to back. not to mention the heat damage! the front of my hair was completely straight and the rest had curly pieces and some wavy parts as well. well this morning i had it! my hair was short and uneven and just had to go. i went to sallys, picked up some ecostyler, aphogee 2 minute reconstructor, hair clips, and the as i am co wash ( which was on sale for 6.99 each or so u know i had to snatch up 2 of those babies), as soon as i got home i told my husband im cutting all this mess off. he said r u sure i want u to be happy and not depressed over it. i told him ill be free and thats all that matters. so i got into the bathroom and cut away. and you know what, i do feel free! i love it i have curls again and im rockin this short do like rent is due! Now my real journey begins. although i have been heat and chemical free for about a month now, this is my first day to healthy hair. looking forward to building friendships with you all!

We got:
Great ladies.
A sharing community.
Fantastic information.
And just great fun.

Glad you're here. :yep:

You sound a lot like me, I was always doing really silly things that I new was bad for my hair and sometimes I still want to. I must be a slow learner, I make the same mistakes over and over again. I lurked for about 3 years before joining last month and managed to grow long hair during that time. Congrats on your BC, It looks really good and I'm glad you feel so good about it, for many people a BC can be quite upsetting.

:welcome:

You, your hair, and your nails are cute! Congratulations on your BC and having a supportive hubby. Enjoy your 'new' hair!
