I don't like CHI Silk Infusion

At least not so far. Today, after my rollerset was dry I applied some CHI Silk Fusion before flat ironing the frizzy parts on my hair. I didn't notice any shine but, I can't completely fault this product. My hair just doesn't seem to like serums applied to it once its dry. If a put a serum on wet hair which I usually only do if I plan to blow dry my hair it works great!

What else could I put on dry hair as a heat protectant, outside of serum? Any suggestions?

I didn't realize people were applying their serums to dry hair. :perplexed
Try a heat protection spray. Chi has one. Some other choices include Ion, Beyond the zone. Hopefully some others will chime in because I am too sleepy to think.

Most serums and heat protectants don't work well for me on dry hair. I just don't even go there. I use it on wet hair only, airdry and then flatiron.

The only other time I can use it successfully is when my hair is moisturized and needs a little bling. Even now, I stopped doing that because it was making my relaxers underprocess. I just use Vitapointe or Aveda Styling creme for shine.

Maybe I'm a weirdo but my hair loves it when I apply NTM serum on clean dry hair. I don't use heat at all. It just gives me softness and shine.

Thanks ladies. I will probably use the CHI Iron Guard or check out the Beyond the Zone spray.
BTZ is good, and I used it on dry hair. But it can get greasy so a little goes a long way.
