my hair is moisturized accept for my ends!!!

i wear my hair natural and i put castor oil and what not but still dry. Makes no sense!!! I gave my hair a trim, and still, the dryness...

any one have any tips?

IDK, but I'm thinking the ends may not like castor oil. Maybe the ends need something lighter, w/more water.

For me, when my hair is dry.. there's no kind of oil I can add to really moisten it up. I have to co-wash, rinse or splash w/water.

HTH.

Oils alone don't work on my hair--at all--especially the ends. My hair likes water and some sort of pomade or butter on the length of the hair, including the ends.

My hair especially doesn't like castor or coconut oil on my hair ends, although small amounts added to my deep conditioner are okay.

I understand where you're coming from. My hair would stay dry no matter what leave ins i put in (ORS Olive oil, giovanni, phytospecific etc) and seal with my coconut or vatika oil, but it dries softer after a co-wash with Lustrasilk shea butter and since i finally got the afrodetangler www.growafrohairlong.com it feels like silk- yes silk (believe me i didn't think anything could keep my coils from not drying out).

On my daughters hair who loves to rock afro puffs, I found that Sta Sof Fro keeps her puffs soft and not dry. After a wash, I oil her scalp and hair with Castor Oil and use Elasta QP Mango Butter on the ends but Sta Sof Fro for the extra moisture Sta Sof Fro, is for my daughter's hair just what the name mean keeps her afro puffs soft. You should be able to locate at your local BSS.

Yeah, the oil might be a problem. I know oil makes my ends dry and crunchy, especially if I apply it when my hair is dry. I can get away with using oil on my ends if it is added sparingly to a natural butter like avocado. But in general the worse culprit when it comes to dry ends is too much product on them, especially oil.
