..with a little help (from my twin sister), of course. It turned out very, very lovely. I came to this forum a few days before and read, read, read. Through reading some of your mistakes, triumphs and techniques, I successfully pulled it off!!!

The results included strengthened new growth (not over or under processed) and daymn-near no breakage (I've been monitoring it for 2 whole weeks)!!!

Thanks to EVERYONE!!! I love my LHCF!!!!

, and I helped her with her relaxer. She was coming out of braids and had a ton of newgrowth, so we did one half of her head at a time. We used Motions Oil lye in regular strength and left it on for about 20 minutes. We followed up with the motions protein conditioner, neutralizing shampoo, then pantene moisturizing conditioner, and her hair came out pretty straight. Our biggest fear was underprocessing...we're so glad that we didn't miss any areas because being underprocessed can be hell! (I know from my own experiences). I gave her a small trim, 1/4", and we're gonna trim every 12 weeks with her touchup until her ends are flush (smooth). Right now, she's about 1" past shoulder length...

Andrea's been doing the baggie/phony pony technique to keep her ends moisturized and protected. We have her using Carefree gold curl activator (I love that stuff), conditioner washes with pantene, and hot oil treatments.

I'm thinking about creating an album and posting it in May...maybe we should post our pics together in the same album

After about a week, I did finally get around to using the Motions CPR to stop any breakage that I anticipated. - Throughout the whole process though, I did not have any breakage (some shedding - only a few strands). I think proactively using the CPR has helped tremendously!
