Lovelymissyoli, your hair grows really fast (you are retaining a lot of length). It seems like you set your hair a lot. How long do you keep each set in? One week? Two weeks? Also, what do you use for daily maintenance while in this style? What do you wear on your head to sleep?

I do in fact set my hair a lot. It normally holds up for 3 weeks max…at least that’s how long my straw set held up. Normally, when I curl my hair with perm rods I wash every 2 weeks. I used to wash once and week and redo my set, however, it was getting really hard trying to find a night to contribute to setting my hair for 2 hours.

As for maintaining my hair, normally I just clip it up and wrap a silk scarf around my hairline before I go to sleep. When I wake up I just spritz some oil sheen on my hair, Surge my hairline, apply some moisturizer and gel and I’m out the door. HTH.

LovelyMissYoli... your strawset is BEEYOUTEEFUL!!! I can't wait to do a strawset once my hair gets longer! I don't know if I could do it myself though. You did an AWESOME job!!!
