too funny. maybe she made that word up?

does anyone use this combination? did you like/dislike it? how often did you use it? what moisturizing conditioner did you follow up with? how much of each product did you mix together? was your hair strong and moisturized after the treatment? how did you find out about nexxus omnipak?

thanks a bunch!

ps-nexxus omnipak (keraphix, humectress, epitome, & botanical oil)

Re: i did an internet search on \'nexxus omnipak\'

I am a nexxus lover and have tried probably all their products over the last 15 years or so. Here is my review of the items in the omnipak:

keraphix: excellent mild protein conditioner, a staple for me that I alternate with AO GPB
humectress: LOVE, LOVE this, it is THE best moisturizing conditioner in the world and is my ultimate staple hair care item
epitome: used it a loooong time ago and still not sure what it did for me, never repurchased.
botanic oil: another staple that I use on ENDS only as needed -- just a drop every couple of days does it for me - the 3.3oz bottle literally lasts for like 3 years . . . .

I have 4b relaxed hair.

i've used all of these products too. however, i've never 'mixed' them together (i think this is what supergirl does?). i did an internet search (after viewing feature of the month) and after reading supergirl's regimine and from what i can understand she mixes these products together and then follows up w/a moisturizing conditioner. i did an internet search on nexxus omnipak and wound up right back on our site

i'm not liking my nexxus products much these days (i'm on a keracare high) and i was wondering if this could be a new way for me to use my nexxus products. mixing keraphix, humectress, epitome, & botanical oil sure sounds tempting!

i was curious if anyone else has use this potion?

Re: i did an internet search on \'nexxus omnipak\'

oh, I see. I've never done a mixture with epitome, but I occasionally mix a cocktail of 50% keraphix and 50% humectress with a few drops of botanic oil -- awesome awesome results. As for epitome, I just couldn't get into it so can't say, but might be a good way to use up products that you're no longer thrilled with . . .

Re: i did an internet search on \'nexxus omnipak\'

yeah, i remember supergirl posting about that. i never did find out what it was.. but when my stylist braided my hair tuesday, i was telling her about my hair care regimen, and she was like instead of doing the different steps (applying keraphix, rinsing, applying humectress) i could just mix humectress and keraphix to make a big ol "PROTO PAK". i was like.. ive heard that somewhere!

I promise I didn't make it up.

Nexxus used to have it on their website. You know how when you go to their site, you can get a "hair prescription" based on the characteristics of your hair. Well, the omnipak was one of the things that used to come up when put my info. in. It described it as a mixture of keraphix, humectress, epitome, and botanic oils.

When I was a teener, I remember calling a salon that sold Nexxus and inquiring about some products. I told them that I was relaxed and would like to reduce breakage and have longer hair. The lady there recommended that I mix Nexxus Keraphix, Humectress, and Botanic Oils (no mention of Epitome) and sit under a dryer with it for 30 minutes every week. She said I would see marked improvement and my hair would be in great condition. She made it sound SO good=--I don't know if she was just a good sales lady or what!

Anyway, the times I've tried it, it doesn't make my hair feel super silky smooth or anything, but I do feel like it's a really good treatment for the hair and that it is beneficial to the hair. You get what I mean? I'm saying that just because it didn't make the hair feel like satin or whatever doesn't mean it wasn't good. That's definitely a great combo for relaxed ladies--especially those who use heat often.

'nexxus omnipak'

I tried this for the first time last week and I liked the results that I got from it. My hair was shiny, soft and I noticed less breakage. I'm going to keep this up as a treatment every other week. Here are the directions:

In a glass or plastic bowl, mix:
1 part
Nexxus Epitome Fortifying Botanical Reconstructor
1 part
Nexxus KerapHix Restorative Protein Creme Reconstructor
1 part
Nexxus Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner
1/3 part
Nexxus Botanic Oil Essential Natural Oil Replenisher
Step 1.Shampoo the hair with Aloe Rid Gentle CLarifying Shampoo and follow with Aloe Rid Treatment Deep Clarifying Solution.Step 2.Towel dry to remove excess moisture.Step 3.Appy the Omni-Pak Treatment with a colour brush, thoroughly saturating the hair.Step 4.Comb through with a wide tooth comb to ensure complete and even distribution.Step 5.Place a cotton strip around the hairline, cover with a plastic bag and place under a warm dryer (medium heat) for 10 to 20 minutes (heat is optional).Step 6.Rinse with tepid water.

I did something like this, but just with keraphix, humectress, and botanic oil. My hair came out okay. It was softer and it helped slow down some breakage.
