I did a set with water and jojoba...

Last night I decided to lighten up on the setting lotions, cremes and leave ins. My hair had been taking so long to dry and I remembered a long time agon when I used to wet set it never took as long as it has been lately. I remembered back then I didn't use anything after I rinsed cause it weighed my hair down. So to make a long story short, after I rinsed, I took my mixture of distilled water and jojoba oil in a spray bottle and soaked my hair with it and then just rolled it. It cut 10 minutes off(that's alot when you are tired of sitting under the dryer) from my drying time. And the jobjoa oil left my hair slightly moisturized and not as dry as if I used only water. I rubbed a little pomade through it this morning. My hair feels nice a light and soft today. Does anyone else use just mainly water to set?

Hi Sweetcocoa,

I used distilled water only for my rollerset last Friday. After my final rinse, I rubbed a pea-sized ball of coconut oil throughout my damp hair, then I sprayed each section with the water. I like this method soooo much. My hair seems to have an exceptional amount of body.

I did this method because I like to use the coconut oil on my dry hair every other day and I didn't want too much product buildup with the leave in.

I used Evian water in the can this weekend and a little bit of Aveda's Elixer and my hair came out soft and shiney /images/graemlins/smile.gif
