I bought a Maxiglide yesterday and just had a dream about it.

I had a dream that I used the Maxiglide on my hair and that the steam burst made it turn into natural twists when I was finished. Naturals, how do you make your maxiglided hair keep a straight look?

Lol...strange dream.

I use Aveda anti-humectant to keep it up. It reverts a little at the root by the time I'm ready to wash it out but not that much. I also flat iron w/a silicone serum. For me that is key.

If only there was some sort of tool to do twists in an instant!
It'd be great for easily bored people and people who aren't that good at doing hair... like me!

Can't help with your original question as I'm not natural and don't own a maxiglide.
However, I am transitioning and when I flat iron my hair it stays straight unless it rains. I put (coconut or almond) oil on my wet hair, and a serum when I've finished flat ironing. Also, I'll wear a satin scarf for about half an hour after straightening.
