hi ladies-

given my current hair length, realistically speaking, what length do you think it would be possible for me to reach by december of this year?

Your hair seems to be a bit longer than MBL. You could be at WL or longer by December.

Edit: Your hair looks WL already in the first two pics.

full MBL or hitting WL as it looks like your bound pony is right at/below BSL.

Keep up the great work!!!

Thanks Ladies for all of your feedback! HijabiFlygirl is right. I am right below bsl maybe a tad longer if completely stretched. So is waist lenght still doable?I would have to retain at the minimum of four inches of new growth to get there. My ends tangle so badly now, I think this would be the only thing undermining my efforts :nono:.

How tall are you? You should be able to be full waist-length by the end of the year.

Are you going to join the waist-length challenge? They probably have some good suggestions in that thread for protecting your ends.

Keep up the good work and baby those ends.....

Pompous Blue, I am 5'5 but I think I would be too intimidated to join the waist length challenge. I don't know. Whenever I think of any of the wl ladies I always think of them as world class elite athletes. But, I think I will lurk to pick up some helpful hints.

Girl, lovely hair! I KNOW that WL is doable!

Thanks Janet! I love your hair color. It is so vibrant and beautiful!!

Realistically speaking, it's not possible to say where you will be. I believe it depends on your growth rate and your growth cycle.

How long did it take you to get to where you are? Assuming you were doing everything right and continue to, and that you don't reach your growth cycle terminal length first, then you can assume you will get the same growth by December you usually get in that time frame. And if that would be the length necessary to reach MBL or WL, then you can look forward to that.

Personally I like surprises so I'd just ignore my hair and let it surprise me.

you should go join the mbl 2010 challenge

i took a peek at the thread this morning and i am still talking myself into it.

nonie-

you are so right! i never really took notice of my rate of growth until i found this forum back in late april. in all my pictures over the past several years my hair has been at a minimal of bsl. i know that once i went to a salon and had been sporting a huuugge curly puff for a while, well the stylist did a blow out on me and i discovered that my hair had grown past my elbows. i was in complete shock. i was in greater shock as i watched her cut off several inches because of split ends:sad:.

as for my current growth rate, i can say that i henna-ed last week and my roots have already grown out about 1/8 of an inch :yep:. at first i thought the henna had rinsed out due to frequent conditioning but my grey new growth is telling a different story.

thank you for chiming in!

Then at a growth rate of 1/8 inch per week, your growth rate would be the norm of 1/2 inch per month. So by December, assuming you retain all you grow, you should see an increase of about 3.5 inches or if we count weeks (since some months have more than 4 weeks), then you'd get about 3.75 inches by the end of the year. If you know where that falls, measuring from where you are now, then you can estimate how long your hair may be in December.

you know it doesn't hurt to try. i think you're definitely on your way.

nonie done broke it down to da science

I was thinking WL myself. Nice length! ;)

Thanks Beans!

Dang woman you are amazing! Thank you for taking the time to figure this out. I measured using your 3.5 estimate and IF I am able to retain these inches, it would put me at about two inches from waist length.

Thanks again!

Diva-

You are one persistent chacha. I'm giving in and joining the challenge. Lol.

Thanks!
