lol, well I guess in the end that's all one can do right!? But wow she's impatient isn't she!

Re the braids, I would recommend a 2/3 week break after taking out braids, but then you'll get some folks who will tell you that they relax their hair the same day without any problems! :perplexed I suppose it all depends on what your hair can tolerate, but if you can, wait the 2 weeks and ensure you deep condition (protein and moisture) to prepare your hair for the chemical service.

ETA: Apologies I totally read your post wrong. I personally wouldn't braid my hair until I had at least half an inch or preferably an inch of newgrowth, but then I'm no expert, I'm sure some others will offer their opinions. :)

Well don't talk to her about losing weight, getting a degree, or having a baby either. Shoot get a lil bit of patience.

I would also wait at till there is a little bit of growth. I would go 5 weeks or more.

Lol. If it's braid extensions you want then wait for enough new growth so that you can actually catch the growth in to the braid so it won't slip out on your relaxed hair

So is it really important to have new growth before? I can grip it regardless.. but maybe I will wait.. I've already done a protein treatment.

2-4 weeks mmm never heard you needed NG to do it before. i'll let others chime in on this point.

i can't believe your friend was serious. even before learning about hair care i would of never thought 1 day is enough for anything to work. not even a month, wow

if she wants long hair stat ,weave it
