Ok, I was too embarrased to post until I read some of the others...one time one of my friends bought me a pair of RED fishnet stockings. The other day I was doing a protective style (bun) and I couldn't find a scarf or cover so...I um...wrapped the red stockings around the ponytail. I got compliments all day...girl where did you get that...that is so cute! /images/graemlins/sekret.gif

My first post.... What a way to introduce myself! O.K., so I was away this summer on a business trip. I've been wearing braidouts regularly for some time now. To maintain them at night I sleep in a satin cap. Well, Miss Efficient Packer, failed to pack my sleep cap. I couldn't risk losing the ease of waking up, showering, removing my cap, ruffling the curls and going... I had to come up with something!!!

I remembered my great grandmother...

And so....


I slept with a pair of satin "draws" on my head! Worked like a charm /images/graemlins/smile.gif.
Took a picture 'bout it. Like to see it? Here it go!!! (sometime soon, when I figure out how to link it) with my true introduction.

p.s. The draws wuz CLEAN Ya'll!!!! And needlesstosay, NOT a thong!

Ok my turn! One time my mom was getting her hair braided at home and the woman braiding her hair had all these little hair strands all over the place. At the same time, I was getting dressed to go out and I was planning on doing my hair in a ponytail but then I realized I didn't have any hair to make the phony pony. Instead of going to the store and buying some hair, my ghetto instincts kicked in and I went to the area where my mom was having her hair braided, got down on my hands and knees and picked up little strands of hair until I got enough to make a phony pony. (It took me about 45 mins. and sore knees, but at least I got my ponytail!) lol!

Oh...another thing...I may be the only one who has ever done this, but I am guilty of using white tube socks to wrap around my hair to make my buns look bigger... back in the day of course. Lawd have mercy! I'm more ghetto than I thought! /images/graemlins/spinning.gif
