i bought a comb attachment for my blowdryer but it did not fit. so i ... um, taped the attachment... um... to my blowdryer with...duct tape. /images/graemlins/smile.gif (it worked, btw)

ooh, and this one time (at band camp) my daughter used too much gel on my flat twists and i had all of this white stuff caked into my twists. i could not get it out without messing up my twists...so i covered the whiteness with mascara./images/graemlins/think.gif

am i the most ghetto person on the board? /images/graemlins/sekret.gif

/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Don't feel bad. I use a bobby pin to get every speck of conditioner out of a jar. I add water to my shampoo and conditioner bottles and dump the remnants over my head.

My satin sleeping bonnet has recently become worn and has lost its elastic banding. Because I dont feel like going to Sally's and purchasing one, I wrap a pair or my satin pajayma pants over my hair. It stays on all night and get the job done! /images/graemlins/up.gif

I went through that phase.....and the bad thing is that I would use the attachment until there are only like 5 teeth left. And let that sucker fall off....all I got to say is that duct tape is the BOMB...lol.

I would walk around the house in a minute with a plastic grocery bag on my head... when I run out of plastic caps!

I have done that when the caps would not work at the moment. /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/drunk.gif

When my hot curlers were in frequent use, they started to come apart because of some missing screw. I wrapped duct tape around the handle to keep the two ends together. Shoot, I got another year's use out of them that way.

It's not being ghetto. It's called being CREATIVE !!

And, y'all know back in the day your mommas use to tear the brown paper bag into shreds to make some "rollers" to curl your hair with /images/graemlins/smile.gif Black women have always been ghett -- I mean creative /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

When I used to use my big barrel curlers, I put one of those flat cotton circle makeup pads on the thumb handle when the plastic piece broke off. I held that on with a couple of little black rubberbands.

/images/graemlins/lachen70.gif naw...not the little black rubberbands! /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif

I took my silk slip (that I got at my wedding shower), placed it over my pillow and used it like a silk pillowcase.

I wrap my feet in the plastic grocery bags, after I do my own pedicure and put on some socks.
For the broken piece on a hot curler, I use the sponge roller and the little black rubber bands or grey tape

The plastic piece on my curling iron that you push down to roll your hair on the curling iron broke, so I placed a cotton ball with a rubberband on that part of the curling irons.

You guys have nothing on me, last night, I was trying to get that last little bit of Vitatress Biotin Creme from the tube, you know how the toothpaste sticks to the side of the toothpaste tube, well I cut the top of the tube and squeezed all the creme I could out and then proceeded to wipe the inside of the tube to get the rest of the biotin creme, but it was well worth it that stuff costs $10.00 at the BSS, he people do it for toothpaste, why not for hair products /images/graemlins/tongue.giferplexed:
