I am so encouraged today in Philadelphia

We had a Jazz festival from Friday to Sunday and its only saturday and there must have been like 20,000.00 people out there. Anyway. I never ever seen that many naturals in my life. I was feeling discouraged about my natural for a minute but you just won't believe how many woman were out there rocking high puffs - Twist. I mean one woman had her head shaved except for the very top in a circle with a high twist with really pretty natural curls around it. I didn't like this style but it was very interesting to see all the many, many different natural styles out. Of course I had a bang that I pressed and the rest of my hair in a bun. Still they nodded at me at times too, which made me feel like one of the people. I wanted to raise my fist but thought that would be a bit much. So anyone in philly come up to West Oak Lane. There are like six blocks - blocked off for the shows everyone is up here. the Ojays, well don't get me started, its jazz all kinds of jazz and food and stuff. Lots and lots of stuff.

I know what you mean. My husband and I went to The Roots concert this week. It was nice to see so many natural ladies. Before LHCF I probably wouldn't have noticed.

Oh I wished I had been there to enjoy that. But I definitely know what you mean about all the naturals. We had vacation bible school 2 weeks ago and at the end of the week, we were treated to a day at Magic Springs/Crystal Falls in Hot Springs, Arkansas. And OH MY LORD, while there, I have NEVER seen so many beautiful natural heads all in one place. It was just absolutely wonderful!!! I seen quite a few people who looked liked they could have been Niko's Cousin, but I didn't dare ask! LOL

Girl, I'm right there with you. I see soooooooo many naturals now, more than ever before and it's great to see. It's so funny too when we walk past each other, we look at each other and smile.

I went to a Jill Scott concert, and I saw so many naturals, and they were sooooooo beautiful. I rocked a weave, and I was probably the only one!
