Congrats! It looks beautiful! Your hair must grow pretty fast... that's a beautiful puff...and after only 13 months transition! How do you get your hair to look so shiny?
Thanks, I transitioned for over a year. I started to snip away at those relaxed ends in month nine. I wore buns, and twist outs almost the entire time to help blend the two textures. I conditioned washed my hair almost every other day and probaly everday in the summer time and put it back in a bun. I flat ironed it maybe 5 times during my transition. You will see a pic in my album which was the last time I flat ironed my hair. I stayed away from heat in order to learn my natural texture.
I will still flat iron once every blue moon but for now I am enjoying my natural look. I want to let it grow out a few more months before wearing it straight.
Congratulations sunnygirl. Welcome to the club. You are now officially part of the 10 to 15% of African American (Black) women who do not relax or texturize their hair.
