I am on the christmas relaxer stretch challenge but things are getting hard now ad I am 9 weeks post relaxer. I have put my hair in flexi-rods but I dont want to continue to roll up my hair b/c my hair keeps getting caught. I think I am going to start bunning up my hair but the only problem is that my newgrowth is physically hard and is difficult to manage. I want to find a product that will make my hair soft so that I don't have to worry about it breaking or looking like a brilo pad. Can you suggest some products to help me soften my 4abcdefg new growth that I can buy in a bss or grocery store? I have used coconut oil and elasta qp mango butter so far with no luck. I really don't want to use too much heat but I need something to keep me from breaking down and getting a perm.

. I've started using the really wide tooth bone combs from sally's. They even have a wide tooth rat tail that I love for parting through my newly found thick roots. It's funny, one day I'm sulking because I don't see any new growth, and then it seems that the next week I can barely comb through my hair. I could never make it to Christmas, but good luck to you ladies. Two more weeks to go for me!
