And L Boogie used to have real long hair! I remember her from OLTL and Sister Act. She had hair just Keisha Knight-Pullman did when she was playing Rudy. That straight, super-thick long hair. I could never understood why she cut off ALL of that hair when she joined The Fugees :band:

I feel like such an idiot:wallbash:. I thought all 3 of the ladies mentioned grew their hair naturally. It's a good thing my hair idols have fotkis right:rolleyes:......
 
Once I read an interview with Eryka saying that her locks were fake - I just never believed after that, that any of her "hairstyles" were real.

Did you mean couture? Natural hair is actually in right now. What's wrong with a fake afro if your hair isnt long enough to make one? And a lot of people want to add hair for whatever reason whether they're relaxed or natural. We all know it takes a lot of time and extra attention to grow long healthy hair. Everybody isn't trying to make that commitment.

As far as Alicia Keys hair goes, yes her hair is long but she wears wigs and pieces too. Like if you see her with bangs... that's a wig. She doesn't have bangs. Like the scene in the Karma video when she has on that jump suit. It was a straight wig with bangs. Many of them do it for versatility. If you're filming a video and they want your hair straight in one scene, curly in the next one, wavy in the next one, blonde in the one, etc. clearly they aren't going to do all of that to your own hair. There isn't enough time nor would somebody want all that styling and manipulation done to their hair all day every day. Artists have to make appearances all the time.

Oh yea they sho' be slammin on da real! I'm still doing this:wallbash: after all dis time thinkin it was even real. Sighsssss, welp ya know what?? Ya may as well say it's real since they paid for it and it's theirs right? LOL!
 
I mean before LHCF put me on I might have said "theres no way thats her hair..I aint neva seen no black person with hair like that unless they were a man"..now I see her and I'm like "true..soon I'm going to be rockin rough and tough with my afro puff too"..until I saw that video...LOL and can you imagine my suprise..she rips it off so vigorously...picture me jumping as she did it.

And my girl Rosario Dawson, alot of times when it was just SL, it was pieces.

I don't understand why these ladies, women who have had at least SL get this fake hair. Gabby says it's helps to protect their real hair from all of the constant styling.

Tyra Banks said something similiar. But I can expect this from relaxed hair ladies. But why fake a natural?

I used to wear a big puff on top of my puff too. It was sometimes to create a silhouette with my outfit. Kind of like a push up bra:rolleyes:
 
I always knew because the first time I saw the fro was the same time I saw her take it off.

So when I saw everyone praising her natural hair I just thought it was just the style you guys were admiring...though I'm sure she could do it with her real hair but that fro was too floppy set still stood up to be real.
