And amazingly my hair was smooth as silk except for some of my raggedy ends I am extremely impressed. I think this is going to be a keeper for me

Aww gal, why didnt' you post pics? At the least you should take pics then compare them to new ones 3 months from now. And by the way, I had a 'shroom' for a looooooong time. My hair seemed to grown in that shape

Ur hair turned out beautiful. I am going to try flat iron my damp hair this weekend. Btw, I cure my fuzzy/raggedy ends by using one of our LHCF members concoction of conditoner and sea salt it works wonders I can't remember her name or the thread but it stopped my ends from going crazy. I think I will do this first and then flat iron. If successful I will post results.

I think it may have been Just_Kiyah, I know she emailed me that suggestion and I love it.

If you flat iron your hair, make sure your roots arent wet if you need to straighten them out because I almost burned my scalp off right there. Very painful! The heat traveled up.

Go head on girl! I do this anytime I flat iron. I never put hot on completely dry hair and I always set the temp around "medium" and I get results. My hair is healthier than it has been since I was in plaits and ribbons...

This may not be a popular forum technique but I'm a believer! I will prove this technique is safe next year when my hair is down my back....
