So I've been trying to stay away from the relaxer for an entire year... right now I'm calling it "stretching" and not transitioning.
So I took down my weave a couple days ago,.. the first day or two it was fun to play in the newgrowth.. all 5 months of it,.. but then reality hit and I had to head back to school and work and even running a wide tooth comb through that ish (beautiful ish
) was a challenge. Called up my hair dresser,.. she wasn't there. so I had to go to a new hair dresser and I almost broke down and had her slap in a relaxer cuz I was short on time and ideas. Don't know what stopped me,.. maybe this site,.. but I decided that I had come too far to give up now and risk damage from a stylist that I didn't even know. MANY MANY HOURS and DOLLARS later.. I left with this style.
41 cornrows in the front, weave tracks in the back,.. micros along back edge (2 rows) so that i can wear it up in a pony tail. I think I'll be repeating variations of this style for the summer. Its out of my face,.. I dont have to worry about perming the front, I can wear it up for the gym, and wash it myself
. When i go to get the corn rows refreshed I'll let her know NOT to do it tight.
Also,.. she didn't braid my hair to the end on the cornrows so i'll just twist it at night,.. and make sure to moisturize and seal
What do you think...
