to my hair. I rollerset yesterday evening. Oh my goodness. Now I remember why I stopped. I did a lazy job b/c I only used about a dozen of my rollers. I could not reach/stretch to the ends of my hair on the top of my head so I ended up not having rollers on top. Only around my head.

The drying time ended up taking about 16 hours. And I still ended up taking the rollers out before 3 of them dried. Oh well, my husband is really enjoying it. I think it is a treat for him.

your hair. How long have you been growing your hair, yanno what i am going to ask....
What is your regime? What size rollers did you use to get the shirley temple curls? 16 hours is crazy though! you airdried the whole time?

Thanks Ladies,
Yes....I air dried the whole time. I didn't have time to just sit under the dryer. I ended up having to sleep in those darn hard rollers.

I use the pink hard ones. I am going to have to get bigger ones by the next time I roll it.

I do 1-2 conditioning (no shampoo)washes during the week. I have been washing 1x/week. I like so many different products and experiment/mix A LOT. Some of my regulars are Avalon Rosemary shampoo, cholesterol conditioner (I mixed my wild growth oil in there), TCB balancing conditioner, Doo Gro leave-in conditioner. For the past 4 months I had been using Infusium 23 leave-in mixed w/EVOO and rosemary. I grease my scalp if dry with Bag Balm (yes, for cows). I also put it on my hair and ends. I think it keeps them strong. I have been using Bag Balm for 8-10+ years. I try to massage everynight. I ALWAYS air dry and I probably use heat 3x/year max. I only trim when needed (2-3x/year). I wear my hair up most of the time and down during the weekend. That is it. And I try do eat a balanced (vegetarian) diet and drink lots of water.
I take a prenatal vitamin (been taking them since college (1991) b/c I am a vegetarian and get low iron levels sometimes. I take fish oil(1200mg 2x/day) b/c I don't like seafood either. I try to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.

Thank you.

You know my hair was really looking dull and boring for about a week so I mixed my cholesterol w/ my wild growth oil(that I don't really use any more)and a little honey and cinnamon. Put on the shower cap for about 20 min. and then rinsed. It made my hair snap back to normal. It is amazing what you can do with some old/extra left over products.

Hey Sis-
I use those pink hard rollers. I need some bigger ones. Do they make bigger ones that have the magnets? I have never seen any. Yes, try the wild oil mixed with a conditioner. Then it won't be so oily!

Is it hard to use those(get them tight-I mean)? See, I decided to start fixing my self up again (after a child and now re-entering the nursing profession).

I am tired of the bun so I thought I would start roller setting again like I use to and just do a pinned up look.

I think your hair is just breathtaking! I especially like the picture of all those thick shiny braids hanging down. Why did I never notice your album before? I'll go review your previous posts now.

I feel ya! I still havent mastered the rollersetting either.. Have you thought about doing a braid out/twistout? I think that would look really pretty on you.

Yeah, I do those too(braids/twists). What am I talking about....
I don't have time for roller sets.
I change my mind! I will continue to do them every "blue moon."

Maybe, I will do knots next time. I can still wear that up.

Thank you ladies.

Hey jainy-
I told him not to get too use to this. I thought I needed to treat him b/c I noticed that he took my scrunchie off my bun the other day(not the 1st time).
