Looking for updates! We're in the final stretch, less than 30 days to go! :woot:

I'm doing well, still hiding and growing (not by leaps and bounds yet). Weekly Deep Conditioning and daily moisturizing is helping me keep the length though I don't think APL is in the cards for me until mid to end of summer. :perplexed Oh well, better then than never! :D

How's your protective styling working for you? Are you retaining your length? Do you think you'll make your goal length for this stretch?

Thats right!! Keep that positive attitude, it makes all the difference. I have just revamp my vitamin regime and given that it can take 3-6months before it really kicks in, I am not really expecting my big growth spurt until the fall.

Less than one month to go! I can't wait! I'm dying to see everyone else's progress:)

I've been wanting to flat iron it and wear it down so bad but I know I have to wait.

I've kept my hair hidden away in my baggie. I know I have retained a little length and I hope to be at BSL by my birthday in July. I would like to get another 1/2 inch before the big reveal but my hair grows slow so I will probably only get about 1/4"

I'm still hanging in there. I gave myself a touch-up on Saturday (11 weeks post), and I'm now just at shoulder length. I started off at chin-mid neck length in October. I don't have a goal length for the HYH Challenge. I just want to keep my hair protected and let it do its thang!:)

I'm doing okay ova here - keeping it moisturized, condtioning (motions, ntm, vo5, garnier) and wigging it. Trying to leave hair alone other than that.

I think I should be grazing APL (dry hair) hopefully for the April HYH reveal pics. If not, definitely for the 6 month APL challenge for June. *hair grows like a snail with weights on*

I can't believe there's less than a month.

My hair has grown, by the reveal time I'll probably have a bunch of new growth though. I didn't have a length goal, I just wanted to see what would happen.

I grew 2 inches of hair so far. I am in braids right now, hopefully by April I get another 1/2 - 1 inch! I know my hair is baby shoulder length right now!:)

I made some good progress, I think. I've been updating with some pics in my fotki (locked until April 1st).

I've been keeping my hair moisturized, and in braids with scarf and hat.

Can't wait to wear it out, though.

Great to hear ladies!! It's awesome that you've all be able to stay consistent! I think it's harder when you're not in braids or weaved. Even my wigs have been retired so I'm back to my buns and french rolls (with the clip in weaves).

@ GymFreak: I just signed up this morning for the Viviscal Autoship so there's NO CHANCE of my falling off of that regimen before 6 months is up. If it works, I'll know by August! :yep:

 at Mona for talking about the Snail with Weights on! We're almost the same length, I think you'll make it sooner than you think! Even if I have to send you stuff to get it there...

I wanna see NOW!!!!

This is so easy for me. No one has seen my hair since.....April 2006 out but me. I can def make it another 30 days. I have them like in my siggy and using MTG w/rosemary added and surge also with rosemary added on top to mask the smell. I'll be braiding back to back straight after this.

I'M STILL HANGING IN THERE. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT'S OVER, THOUGH. I GOT ANOTHER WEAVE LAST WEEK. MY LAST TOUCH UP WAS EARLY DECEMBER, SO I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING A RELAXER AND WEARING MY HAIR OUT IN APRIL!!! :) WOO HOOO

I'm still hanging in there too. I just shampooed/CW my twists again on Sunday. I know I should be doing it more than every 2 weeks, but I'm still getting the hang of dealing with a newborn. Heck! I can't wash my hair b/c I'm washing hers every other day b/c she has cradle cap and I'm trying to get rid of it!

I can say I will be glad to get a relaxer after all this time! DH is looking forward to it too. I just made APL before I had the baby, so I should be a solid APL when I get my touch-up!

I fell off the wagon ladies :perplexed . It was the henna, I swear. Seriously, I tried this stuff, and I loved how my hair turned out so I wore it down. Then I wore it down the next day, and it was a wrap after that, literally  . I was so bad, I even took pictures of it!

Be good ladies:look: . Only one more month!

Still braided..... lots of new growth..i've been hiding my hair since october....i can't wait....i have edges now and the very edge of my nape area stretches to my shoulder! I think my scalp has finally recovered from all the damage of relaxers ...it's been six months and growing faster than it has ever before. At this rate I'm considering only relaxing twice a year...

I'm still hanging in there too. I got some cornrows to the back which I love. I can't wait until April. I'm ready to see everyone's progress.

I'm cheesing at the progress reports ladies!!!

Well, except for our resident back slider ***cough, looks over at OneInAMillion, gives her a hug and understands fully how the henna can make you do thangs***

You ladies are doing great, I'm sure we'll have some great progress photos here soon!

Thanks, vwvixxen...I can't wait to see eveyone's progress too.

Now, I'm going to go take my zinc pill, and get some sleep so my hair can grow some more...!

I would say my hair is growing on average, but i have been able to rettain length! Surprisingly, I have been switching my buns from the left, right and in a low back bun! With my layers, i was only able to wear in a low bun because my sides would gradully peek out through the day:lol:. Now, i can gather it all in a num no matter which way i choose to wear it!!.....

Nothing amazing just yet...but I think I am making progress.

Well I started out with covered baggie bun, switched quickly to braided weave and still braided up now, so no prob keeping my hair out of sight, even I don't know how much progress I've made. Once the challenge is done I'm braiding it back up until summer, then it's ON!

I've seen some growth, not a tremendous amount but there is a difference. I've been moisturizing daily and shampooing and deep conditioning weekly. I didn't really have a goal length in mind but I think by the end of the year I should be shoulder length. Not really sure. I may jump on the next hide your hair challenge.

I'm waiting until the very end of May to get a touch up (got one in January) and I have a lot of newgrowth but my hair seems to be getting shorter. I think (hope!!!!!) it is shrinkage! Usually, I relaxed sooner, or kept it in braids, so having it out and seeing shrinkage and not knowing if it IS shrinkage scares me. But the newgrowth is awesome. I'm glad I stretched.

Setback is...the nape broke OFF!! I'm so ANGRY. I don't know how it happened. :( Not to the scalp, just an inch straight across, PERFECTLY. Must have been tension on my updos in that area. :( And now I'm so afraid of thin looking ends since the top is longer.
Just have to keep up the TLC!! I hope it's not too bad when I relax. :( :( Less than a month to go. KEEP IT UP, ladies!
~*Janelle~*

I've retained whatever I've grown and am marking the days on the calendar like I'm in the penitentiary:sekret:

24 mo' days Lord!!

I've worn my hair down 3 times since January and wore buns most of the time. I don't think I'll make APL for this challenge, but feel confident about June:D

I'm hanging in there too.............barely by a nail.:ohwell: I was sick all last week so i didn't do anything to my hair -wash, comb, nada=(. I just stayed in the bed and couldn't even go to work:ill: . So i finally poo/dc my hair yesterday. Just tryin' to get back in the swing of things. The worst is over...I hope. Happy hair growin'!

took down my braids, washed, and flat ironed(to see length) my hair and it felt like Christmas. I like the HYH challenges b/c I'm always pleasantly surprised at my new length at the rate I am going I will be armpit by summer;)
