Have any of you had this done? What was your experience with it?

I am natural, but would like to incorporate this for when I get my hand professionally done.

Tell me about your experiences and how it works.

Do they use specific conditioners, etc?

Hi Cocoberry...there are quite a few threads on "hair steamers" ...I recommend doing search...but from what I have seen (I plan to buy one) ...it is the end all...

I love getting them done...

I get my hair pressed and even when it was misting/raining outside my hair still was straight(which that is unusual especially for me by then my hair wouldve been gone).

Ive had it done at a salon at least 4 times and i have my own steamer where i did my own treatment!

I agree; steaming seems to really "seal moisture into my hair". :yep: And my hair doesn't revert as bad when I get it steamed in the salon. It's been quite a while though, I'm way overdue for a steam treatment. I do my own at home using a towel (samanthajone's method), and it does well. But I think there is an even bigger difference when using an actual steamer.

You can steam with any product for moisture, or protein, or both...just use whatever your hair needs the most of at the moment. Your hair will thank you for it
