Humidity and hair

I've recently relocated from the NE to the SE and the humidity causes my hair to lose my curl every time I rollerset.

I have beautiful, firm curls in the morning and by the time I get to work they've fallen and my hair has the frizzy lion king thing going on.

I've tried mousse after mousse to no avail. I use Redken products.

Please help.

My type is 4A/B ish.

Why don't you try using the extreme fuel and anti snap leave in. The extreme line contains lots of polymers and proteins that can fill in the gaps in the hair shaft that attract the moisture from the atmosphere causing your frizz and curl fall out.

The smooth down line also has a leave in that might help you out.

Never heard of this stuff. Who's it made by? Is it easily found or do I have to order online?

Thanks for responding!

I need to check out that Smooth Down myself... HotLanta is Humidity and I'm going to be wearing my hair straight.

I think you'd like the Redken Smooth Down Products, I love the Butter Treat and you Possibly might like the Redken All Soft Heavy Cream too.:yep:

This is why some Southern black women w/ beautiful LHCF-worthy SL-BSL hair insist on stiff "church" curls:look:. (Hey, I LOVED my church curls, before I decided I wanted SWANG). Humidity down here is no joke. Anyway, several women that I know use diluted or foam setting lotions to give themselves long lasting yet soft looking/moveable curls. If I want my rollersets to last, I'll use a just a little watered down setting lotion (Keracare is my favorite).

I am Texas and can't wait until the winter time (no humidity) I have use either lottabody or nexxus mousse (I rollerset/wrap) to maintain a style - actually I spray a little Kenra hairspray in the air and let it fall down into my hair (versus spraying directly) on very humid days - Humidity is a **** out here!!!

Has anyone tried Avlon KeraCare Oil Sheen with Humidity Block?
