Wait...I thought castor oil was made from castor beans. Is the black castor oil different from regular castor oil (in origin)?

Palm oil
The reddish-orange oil extracted from the pulp of the fruit of the African palm. It's extremely high in saturated fat (78 percent) and has a distinctive flavor that is popular in West African and Brazilian cooking. Palm-kernel oil, though also high in saturated fat, is a different oil extracted from the nut or kernel of palms. It's a yellowish-white color and has a pleasantly mild flavor. Palm-kernel oil is used in the manufacture of margarine and cosmetics. It's usually listed on labels simply as palm oil.

naah the red palm oil isnt in castor oil, palm kernel oil is different from palm fruit oil(red palm oil).
It appears that huile masketi and jamaican black castor oil are the same for most part, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Asummertyme: Would it be possible to find out from your friend the name phone number and website of this place in little Haiti in Florida so that I could contact them directly? I am awaiting the delivery of my Black Castor Oil from Tropic Isle (Sam's) and hope that it is the real real ting! lol. I really hope it has the ingredients posted on the bottle. Bonjour

another big question. If palm kernel oil= huile miskiti-=black castor oil....why do they just not call it black PALM kernel oil? and if it is pale in color...why is it called BLACK... and how does it go from pale to black? See. this is where the confusion comes in for me. Can anyone break it down for me, here, ladies...I would really appreciate some concrete answers/thank you in advance. Bonjour
