How to use marcel or stove type irons.......

I havent used a marcel in months and I dont know if this will help but this is what I do:

I heat up the stove for 10-15 minutes.
I put the iron in the stove for 2-3 minutes . anymore than that will be too hot.

Place the iron on a piece of tissue before you use the marcel. If it turns brown its too hot.

Put the iron in the stove after you flat iron every 3 sections. I would put it in there for like 3 seconds. This will keep it warm and not too hot. The iron should stay warm.

Always make sure you put the iron on the tissue so you dont burn your hair.

Do not use oil on your hair. It will fry it. Serums or some kind of heat protectant is good.

I would say leave it to the professionals. I was a hairstylist for years and still had mishaps (on my own hair, never on a client). If you make a mistake the results can be brutal. IMHO.
