Hey guys,

How do you sleep with you pressed/flat ironed hair, so that it doesn't get flat and ugly ?

I wrap my hair, I don't know about anyone else, just like if I was relaxed. I alternate the direction of the wrap every night so that once side doesn't get overworked.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by flat hair, though? If you want even more volume you could put it up in a high bun. You'll get a nice wave and tons of volume.

if I just sleep with it down or in a low ponytail, it gets like limp and ugly. It doesn't have the flow and the vavavoom like the day before.

Gotcha... yeah, don't do that. LOL:lachen:

Wrap it like relaxed hair or put it up in a high bun (if long enough). That'll cure the limp hair look!

Pin curls give me tons of body ... I'm not natural though just growing out relaxed hair

I crosswrap, that way both sides will be even and flow nicely. Then I put on a mesh hair wrap and tie down with a satin scarf.

I cross wrap and secure the ends with loose hair pins. On alternate nights I do pincurls or satin foam rollers to keep the body. I also go really light with the leave ins. My straight hair stays bouncy for 2-3 weeks. After that its a ham

I sleep in a high loose Bantu knot bun. It gives me lots of body while still keeping the hair silky and smooth.

When my hair was SL I wrapped it. Now that it's BSL I use a high Bantu knot type bun loosely twisted and secured with a hair pin.

Just a regular ole traditional wrap. Especially the first 4-5 days. When I get tired of the straight look but still want a little body, I'll do 1 big bantu knot. Pin curls give it too much curl for me...makes it feel too roller-settish. (For my hair)

Edited to add since I just saw it in my feed: similar to this

You must not like to wrap OP. Wrapping keeps my straight hair smooth and swangy lol. If I sleep in a pony I lose volume and that swang.

I wrap my hair as well. When I was using keratin treatments I could not use pins or put any kind of bend in my hair for 3 days. I would wrap it and add pins, put a net over my hair and remove the pins. It worked well and I had lots of body.
